A classic Soviet-era pocket watch from Molnija (meaning “Lightning” in Russian), one of the most prolific and respected pocket watch manufacturers of the USSR, produced at the Chelyabinsk Watch Factory. These movements are prized by collectors for their robust, oversized calibers.
Movement: Manual wind, 18 jewels — Made in USSR
Case: Chrome-plated case with domed acrylic crystal, simple functional crown. Case shows honest vintage wear consistent with age.
Dial: Clean cream/off-white dial with bold black Arabic numerals and printed minute track. “Molnija” signature with “18 JEWELS” beneath. Subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. Blued/black steel hands throughout. “Made in USSR” printed at the base of the dial.
Complications: Subsidiary seconds
Condition: Dial shows light, even age-toning typical of vintage Soviet pieces — fully legible and original. Case and crystal intact with expected handling wear. Movement running at time of listing.
